Spectratech, Inc. (President Mitsuo Ohashi) has succeed in development of the world highest performance of medical 20.1 inches monochrome SXGA LCD panel, which had been considered to be impossible for monochrome LCD panel.
The 20.1 inches monochrome SXGA (1280 pixels x 1024 lines) developed this time uses unique digital processing SGS method (Super Gray Shading Technology), and performs the first 1554 gray scale resolution in the industry, contrast ratio 700:1, and luminance 600 cd/m2 or more. By adoption of the same system, current 3M, 5M, 9M, etc. LCD panels can be of higher resolution without a cost-up. In addition to medical purpose, it is expected to be used in non-destroying X-ray inspecting equipment display and electronic microscope display.
With expert members including medical researchers, semiconductor engineers, graphics engineers and so on, Spectratech Inc is a venture business who has the high technology, holds patents concerning medical equipments using frequency diffusion technology, which make the company development, fabless manufacturing, and sale of the medical equipments.
Sample will be available in January '02, and mass-production is scheduled to be in March '02.
